Abstract

The major activity in Software Engineering can be seen as Software Quality Assurance (SQA). The fundamental role of Software Engineers is producing defect free software to end users. Software systems consist of large and complex correlated software metrics which exist in almost all the software modules. Thus, it makes the construction of defect prediction model more intricate. Identifying and selecting the most consistent subset of metrics which improves the performance of software defect prediction model is paramount but challenging problem as it receives little attention in literature
